Linear Recumbent Touring Bicycles are Now Available in the UK by FedEx!

Since 1984 Linear recumbents have been among the most comfortable and relaxing bicycles available. Their stable handling, comfortable seat and natural arm position make them a comfortable and relaxing way to exercise, like a lawn-chair on wheels. After riding a Linear one first time recumbent rider said, "If my butt had wheels this is what it would be like!" This bike is not for racers who want to set a speed record. It is a great bike for folks who want to comfortably get around town and enjoy low impact, outdoor exercise again.

Most riders who like USS (Under Seat Steering) touring recumbent bicycles quickly get used to this bike. Its Long Wheel Base (LWB) makes it stable at speed while its linkage steering gives good low speed maneuverability; "U" turns are accomplished with little effort.

They are the only Aluminium recumbent with under seat steering made in the US.

The non-folding, all welded 2005 LWB is the strongest and quietest Linear ever made. We have added two strengthening gussets and doubled the amount of welding on each bike. It costs us a bit more but we feel the improved ride is worth it.

It is an excellent bike for touring. The 20"x26" wheels use relatively common tire sizes so finding tires, even on a tour is not difficult. The seat gives all day comfort, great for multi day tours. It is also easy to adjust the seat for your leg length and then adjust your recline angle. The seat back has a pocket for smaller items. A standard rear rack can be added with our rack adapter. Riding a Linear recumbent you have an unobstructed view of the land you are exploring. Enjoy!

If airline travel is a part of your touring plans consider our folding model. It will fit in a hard-shell case which most airlines will take as luggage. The folding model is about one pound heavier than the all welded model and less stiff. If you do not see a need for the folding feature we recommend you save $300 with our lighter, non-folding model.

A variety of accessories are also available for your Linear, you can find a list of options on our parts and accessories page. The Linear recumbents are available to order direct from us. Our goal is to have these bikes on the shelf ready to ship on short notice.
